This pre-cleansing oil is designed to gently yet effectively dissolve makeup, sunscreen, excess oil and daily debris.
Using the principle that oil dissolves oil, the formula helps lift excess sebum and buildup from pores while maintaining the skin’s natural balance. Nourishing oils, including Jojoba, help support a healthy skin barrier and leave skin feeling soft, not stripped.
Suitable for all skin types, including oily and blemish-prone skin, it provides a thorough cleanse without tightness or residue.
Use on its own in the morning for a soft, balanced cleanse, or as the first step in your evening double cleanse to properly remove SPF, long-wear makeup and pollution from the day.
Cleansing with oil can be especially helpful for those prone to congestion or wearing heavier makeup, as it helps break down stubborn, waterproof formulas before following with a water-based cleanser.
Shake well before use. Dispense a few pumps into dry hands and massage onto dry skin to help dissolve makeup, sunscreen and daily buildup. Take a little extra time over areas of congestion or stubborn debris.
Add a small amount of lukewarm water to your hands and continue massaging to create a light emulsion. Rinse thoroughly or gently remove with a soft, damp washcloth.
If using at night as the first step of a double cleanse, follow with your water-based cleanser. Then apply your Serums and Face Creams as usual.
Ricinus Communis (Castor) Seed Oil, Oryza Sativa (Rice) Bran Oil, Vitis Vinifera (Grape) Seed Oil, Simmondsia Chinensis (Jojoba) Seed Oil, Persea Gratissima (Avocado) Oil, Polysorbate 60 (Food Grade Emulsifier), Tocopherol (Natural Vitamin E), Geranium Maculatum Oil.
Because we make our products for our families, we have a strict ingredient philosophy that excludes ingredients like Parabens and Phenoxyethanol.
We show all of the ingredients we use in our products on our website, not just the pretty ones. That way you know exactly what's in each one, and can get in touch if you have any more questions.
Please be aware that the ingredients we use in our formulas may be updated occasionally and therefore vary from time to time. Please refer to the ingredient list on the product packaging for the most up-to-date and relevant list of ingredients.
How long should I massage the oil into my skin?
Spend 30-60 seconds massaging, paying extra attention to areas with makeup, sunscreen or congestion. Think of it as a mini face massage that doubles as a deep cleanse!
Can I skip the water-based cleanser in a double cleanse routine?
If you're double cleansing, we recommend following with a water-based second cleanse. This ensures all residue is removed and your skin is ready for serums and creams.
Can I use an oil cleanser in the morning?
Yes! Oil cleansing in the morning gently removes overnight oils and sweat without stripping your skin. We love it for a soft, fresh start to the day.
Will oil cleansers make my skin oily or cause breakouts?
Not if you’re using a non-comedogenic formula and rinsing properly. Oil cleansers actually help balance skin by removing excess sebum and impurities without over-drying, which can sometimes trigger more oil production.
What other products are suitable for blemish-prone skin?
If you’re managing congestion or breakouts, a consistent, barrier-friendly routine is key.
Our Blemish Cleansing Moisturiser is designed to help address external breakout triggers without harsh ingredients like Benzoyl Peroxide. It supports clear skin while maintaining hydration.
Tamanu Oil can also be applied after cleansing and before moisturising. While it may seem counterintuitive, lightweight oils can help support balance in blemish-prone skin when used appropriately.
For gentle exfoliation, our Gentle Exfoliating Powder combines physical and enzymatic exfoliation to help remove dead skin cells and reduce buildup that can contribute to congestion.
Are your cleansers safe for lash extensions?
Our water-based cleansers are suitable for lash extensions due to their gentle oil-free formulas. You can use our Creamy Hydrating Face Cleanser, Gentle Foaming Face Cleanser, Milk Wash or Gentle Ceramide Cleanser.
Oil-based cleansers can break down lash adhesive, so we recommend avoiding the oil cleanser on the eye area while wearing extensions.
Are your Cleansers made of Milk?
We aren’t called MooGoo because our cleansers are made of milk. No cleansers or moisturisers are made of milk, or in fact, have any meaningful amount of milk in them at all. Despite what labels may claim. If you think about it, putting milk in a moisturiser and then sitting it on the shelf for a year or so would make it very smelly! The only exception to this is our Goats Milk & Hydrating Buttermilk Cleansing Bars, which go through a saponification process to make them stable. We do also use Milk Protein in some of our products, like in our bestselling Milk Wash, because the protein helps with skin elasticity. Milk Protein doesn’t go rancid, it is the fats and sugars in milk that go sour.
