Product Description

Milky Wash 500mL

MooGoo Milky Wash uses a glucose based cleanser called "Capric Glucoside". This was originally developed for baby wipes and face wipes and has the same skin irritation score as water.

We added genuine ingredients (not gimmicks) to prevent drying of the skin. Milk Protein (Casein) is similar to the skin's own protein and helps maintain elasticity.  The natural ester Glycerol Oleate prevents skin water loss and leaves the skin smoother.

Our body wash does not create big bubbles like a synthetic detergent. It washes gently and without drying of the skin. Because it is so gentle it is also a no tears formulation in children's eyes.

Can the Milk Wash be used as a face cleanser?  Yes... Glucoside Cleansers were originally designed to be used for face wipes and baby wipes. Although we package the Milk Wash for overall use, it is also one of the most gentle ways to wash the face available anywhere (including those others in tiny bottles).

We have packaged the Milky Body Wash in large 500ml containers. Try it and see just how good your skin becomes after washing with something as gentle as water that washes the skin without water loss.

Ingredient Description
Aqua When we were told that we have to call our purified water “Aqua” we thought they were kidding. But we can’t fight bureaucracy. So we aren’t trying to be fancy, but we do need to call our water “Aqua” sometimes.
Decyl Glucoside (Glucose Based Cleanser) Glucosides are cleansers derived from mixing glucose with a fatty alcohol. They are generally acknowledged as the most gentle cleansers available. The downsides of glucosides are they do not foam well and there are other problems that make them difficult to formulate. However, for our own scalp we didn’t really care about the foam, we simply wanted the most gentle cleanser we could find.
Sodium Lauroamphoacetate Is a Glucoside. Glucosides are cleansers derived from mixing glucose with a fatty alcohol. They are generally acknowledged as the most gentle cleansers available. The downsides of glucosides are they do not foam well and there are other problems that make them difficult to formulate. However, for our own scalp we didn’t really care about the foam, we simply wanted the most gentle cleanser we could find.
Behentrimonium Methosulfate (Canola Based Detangler) Rapeseed Oil Derived Detangler. Terrible name but one of the best natural conditioners for the hair. Most conditioners use silicone (cycolmethicone or dimethicone) to coat the hair in slipperiness which can also cause build-up. We use this ingredient in combination with Jojoba Oil instead.
Lauryl Glucoside (Glucose Based Cleanser) Glucosides are cleansers derived from mixing glucose with a fatty alcohol. They are generally acknowledged as the most gentle cleansers available. The downsides of glucosides are they do not foam well and there are other problems that make them difficult to formulate. However, for our own scalp we didn’t really care about the foam, we simply wanted the most gentle cleanser we could find.
Cetearyl Alcohol (Plant Based Emulsifying Wax) Creams are made from a mix of purified water and oils so as to be more moisturising than oil alone. To hold water and oils together, they need an emulsifying wax. We use a plant based wax that allows the water and oils to stay together.
Cocamidopropyl Betaine (Coconut Derived Cleanser) Is a Glucoside.
Glyceryl Oleate (Skin Conditioner) Derived from Glycerin, this helps condition the skin and scalp.

Allantoin Comfrey Root has long been known as a healing plant. Allantoin was identified as the part of the plant that performed this function and it has since been synthesised to make it more concentrated and effective. So the allantoin we use is the pure ingredient. Allantoin has been termed a cell proliferant in texts such as the "United States Dispensatory". It is said to clean away dead tissue, hastening the growth of new healthy tissue. Allantoin has been also termed a counter irritant. Allantoin produces its desirable effects by promoting and speeding up the healthy, natural processes of the body. It helps the skin to help itself. It is also promoted as preventing lines and wrinkles by assisting skin repair.
Piroctone Olamine Piroctone Olamine is an anti-yeast ingredient. Non-irritating, it also helps keep the cream free from bacteria and mould.
Hydrolysed Milk Protein Cognis research found that milk protein in a cream increased skin elasticity by around 20% compared to the same cream without. Skin elasticity ensures lines and wrinkles are minimized after any movement of the skin.
Dairy Allergies: Most people with milk allergies are allergic to Lactose in milk, not the protein. However, as with all natural products, they should be patch tested on a small area of skin first.
Parfum (Phthlate Free) We used to use various Essential Oils in our Milky Shampoo, Conditioner and Milk Wash. EO’s are great if we could talk to each customer and check for allergies. Due to the occasional reaction to EO’s, we removed them. We want to sooth people scalps and even a very small number of reactions to EO’s was distressing for us. But people still want their hair to smell nice. So we worked with another company to develop phthalate free fragrant oil (phthalates are the things in fragrances that a lot of people don’t like) and since then the response has been great.

I just recently purchased a couple of your products (the Full Cream Udder Cream and Milk Wash) to try on my 2 year old daughter who has eczema. I've tried the usual creams/soaps/washes and what not from the chemist but nothing really helped to settle it down.  After reading about you guys  (sorry I can't remember which magazine - I've just had my 3rd bub and still have pregnancy brain) I decided to give your products a go.  I've only had the cream and wash for a few days but the difference I see in Lily's skin already is absolutely amazing.  I've used the Milk Wash and Udder Cream on my hands for dermatitis - and again the results are amazing - my hands feel wonderful.

Thank you so much -just genius.  Lisa. Vic (From we Got mail Page)

By the way, just wanted to let you know how awesome the milk wash is... NO residue, NO tears and leaves my skin feeling beautiful, not dry or flaky like some other soaps nor greasy like some oil-based commercial removers.  I simply can't rave enough about your sensational products.
